A van collided with a Western Dubuque School bus just after 3 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon.  The two-vehicle accident happened on Hwy 151 at Monastery Road South of Dubuque.  The bus driver was the only person on board the bus at the time of the accident.

According to a release from the Dubuque County Sheriff's Department, Deputies responded the two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.  52-year-old James Daly was parked approximately 3 feet off the roadway on Monastery Rd checking his WD school bus after dropping off the last student. 53-year-old Marshall Wright lost control of his 2015 Chrysler Town and Country while crossing Hwy 151 from Skyline Road, and rear-ended the bus. Wright`s vehicle sustained approximately $10,000 in damage and was towed by Wenzel Towing. The school bus sustained approximately $12,000 in damage and was driven from the scene. Wright was transported to MercyOne Dubuque by Key West ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. Wright was cited for using an electronic device while driving and failure to maintain control.
