
A List of Mental Health Services in Dubuque and the Tri-State Area
Many of us know someone, either familial or in our friend group, maybe both, who has struggled with mental health. Perhaps you personally have struggled with your own mental wellbeing. Mental illness is as real as a broken leg, but unlike a physical ailment, the path to healing is nonlinear and exclusive to the person struggling.
May is "Mental Health Awareness Month," and there are a plethora of related services offered right here in Dubuque and the Tri-State area. Below are a list of many organizations and facilities that treat a wide variety of mental health related issues, from counseling services, assistance for those who have been sexually assaulted, intellectual disabilities, and more.

Area Residential Care (3355 Kennedy Circle, Dubuque): For more than 50 years, Area Residential Care has empowered individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their highest quality of life. They provide residential, vocational and day programming.
Asbury Counseling and Evaluation Services, LLC (3500 Dodge St Suite 205, Box 219, Asbury): Asbury Counseling and Evaluation Services provides compassionate and caring mental health and substance abuse services. They are presently accepting new patients.
Bridget Bartlett Counseling, LLC (2728 Asbury Road, Dubuque): Bridget Bartlett is a licensed independent social worker (LISW), and has been in the social work field for over 15 years. Bridget received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Clarke University and a Master’s in social work from St. Ambrose University in Davenport.

Catholic Charities provides confidential counseling in a safe setting to anyone, regardless of faith or background. Their counselors help individuals, couples, and families maintain emotional health and strengthen relationships. Affordable, quality mental health services are available utilizing insurance or an income-based sliding fee scale throughout the 30 counties of the Archdiocese of Dubuque.
Compass Counseling & Behavioral Health (2728 Asbury Rd Suite 650 - Cove Building, Dubuque): At Compass Counseling and Behavioral Health, your needs come first; confidential counseling is provided with a collaborative, comfortable, and conscientious approach. Kelly Muratorri Counseling (8554 Kapp Dr Suite J, Peosta – behind and under the post office): Kelly Muratorri is a licensed mental health counselor, providing compassionate and effective care to clients. With extensive experience and training in trauma therapy, Kelly specializes in helping individuals heal from various forms of trauma, including childhood, adult, familial, and military combat-related experiences. She is actively completing her doctorate in trauma counseling, focusing on addressing the critical issue of rural veteran suicide.
