Axl Rose Reportedly Tells Fan Guns N’ Roses Are ‘Gonna Do a Whole Tour’
A music fan in the midst of a "#ballerweeked" has posted a photo on Instagram that he says shows himself standing next to Axl "f---ing" Rose in Atlanta yesterday.
Mark Guglielmo, who goes by the handle notonestraw on Instagram and seems to have pretty good taste in music, goes on to say that the Guns N' Roses frontman told him the band (recently reunited with original guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan) wasn't going to play just their six previously announced shows, but instead "a whole tour."
We have reached out to the band's publicist to see if they have any comment or confirmation about this statement. We will update this story if we hear back. So far the band has only confirmed six shows for April 2016: two in Las Vegas, two weekends headlining Coachella and two shows in Mexico City. Rose, Slash and McKagan are the only three members officially confirmed to have a spot in the band's new lineup, although there have been hints suggesting longtime keyboardist Dizzy Reed, drummer Frank Ferrer and guitarist Richard Fortus will round out the roster.
Guglielmo says he wished Rose good luck on those "few shows," but that Rose responded "thanks man but we're going to do a whole tour." Later in the comment thread, Guglielmo goes on to say "I don't want to speculate or spread rumors but it really looked like he's been working out a lot. His arms looked muscular."
