Early this morning (Monday Oct 11, 2021) a car in Dubuque hit a gas meter set in the area of Highway 20 and Locust Street, according to Black Hills Energy. This has affected roughly 75 gas meters. Black Hills Energy will send techs in Dubuque door to door of multiple clients to restore their gas services.

If you are in the downtown area and are experiencing a gas outage, hang in there. Black Hills will be working diligently to correct the issue at hand. Workers must first securely turn off service to everyone affected. The system will then be re-pressurized. When crews have completed the necessary repairs, technicians will then restore service to all customers.
