Bell Tower Theater Announces 15th-Annual Kids-For-Kids Production with The SpongeBob Musical from July 14 to 23, 2022.

Summertime and kid's theater in Dubuque goes hand-in-hand like SpongeBob and his sidekick Patrick.

The Bell Tower Theater showcases the 15th-annual kids-for-kids production: The SpongeBob Musical by Kyle Jarrow.

The Bell Tower Theater gives young people a creative environment and positive outlet to sharpen their performance skills and learn to work collaboratively.

This year's production features a cast of 40 kids, ages 7 to 18. In addition, a backstage crew includes 35 kids ages 7 to 18 running lights and sound, making costumes, building sets, and working at the concession stand.

The show is presented as part of the Free Summer Musical Program under the direction of Sue Flogel.

As the story goes, the stakes are higher than ever as Bikini Bottom faces total annihilation. Chaos erupts, and lives hang in the balance. But when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises and takes center stage. The power of optimism can save the world, even if it's an imaginary one, which may be fun escapism from the present-day reality!
