Caitlin Clark’s Insane Buzzer Beater is Going Viral

If you follow the Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball team, you already know how downright sensational Caitlin Clark is. She was spectacular all over again last night after being put on upset alert by Michigan State.

Clark and the No. 4 Hawkeyes were victorious over Michigan State, beating them 76-73. Beating a formidable opponent is one thing, but doing it with style and finesse is another, and that's exactly what Clark did in the final seconds of the game.

In the closing seconds of the game, Clark netted an incredible video game-esque buzzer beater. She shot the ball from the center-court logo and it was nothing but net, sending the team, the bench, and the fans into a frenzy:

This game marked Clark's 100th game with at least 20 points, as well as her fourth consecutive 35-point game this season. That ties the most of any Division I women's basketball player over the last 25 seasons.

Clark had 14 field goals on Tuesday, with eight of those coming from 3-point range. For her career, Clark, who is a senior, has racked up 3,189 points. That puts her ahead of Brittney Griner as fourth on the women's college basketball all-time scoring list.

The game was nothing if not exciting even without Clark's dagger. Iowa's fifth-year guard Molly Davis was awarded a controversial 3-point shooting foul with 30 seconds left, and Clark made a significant block with 42 seconds left in the game, which was tied at 71 at the time.
