If you're in the mood for live music this weekend, look no further than the Dubuque County Fairgrounds and the Vintage Torque Fest on Friday and Saturday.

The two-day event features family-friendly fun around the vintage and hot rod culture. But one of the huge draws is the music lineup on three indoor stages.

The event organizers have gone far and wide to attract top talent. Let's look at some featured bands and music spanning several genres.

6:30 pm Friday – Stage 2 – Surf Zombies

First up, the Surf Zombies. This Iowa homegrown band cranks up original surf music akin to that of the genre's godfather Dick Dale. No stranger to hot rod car shows, dueling guitars, and reverb, the Surf Zombies, will rock the house Friday at 6:30 PM on Stage 2.

8:45 pm Friday – Stage 2 River Valley Rangers

The River Valley Rangers bring their fun "newgrass" bluegrass strings and folksy sounds to the affair on Friday night.  It's sure to be a finger plucking and foot-stomping good time with their down-home front porch compositions and covers.

T11:15 am Saturday – Stage he 2 Dead Beat Jacks bring exciting music from Chicago's South Side. From ballads to rippin' Rockabilly and Psychobilly, their original material is fantastic fun with a dark tone and a campy sense of humor. Think mid-twentieth century horror B-movies and comic books. Dead Beat Jacks Facebook

11:45 am Saturday – Stage 1 Jinx Jones

Jinx Jones playing at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds is a real treat. Jinx is a masterful musician and entertainer who is always a crowd favorite. You'd typically find Jinx Jones rocking at San Francisco's iconic and packed North Beach Saloon, but you can save the airfare and enjoy his slick guitar playing closer to home. Don't miss this fine-tuned performance.
