This $12 Million Iowa Mansion Has a Bar, Movie Theater Inside
Happen to have $11.9 million sitting in savings, waiting to be used on something? If so, you could be the proud owner of a palatial estate in Spirit Lake, IA.
The 24,876 square foot beauty recently hit Zillow. Billed as "one of the most unique and amazing properties to ever be offered on West Okoboji," the gorgeous estate has eight bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, and a host of rooms that are a vacation in themselves. Built inside the home is a movie theater, a caterer's kitchen, an art studio, a separate lofted apartment, and an Irish Pub. A WHOLE Irish Pub!
An aerial shot of this Van Steenburg Estates mansion gives you an idea how much land it covers. The property is also being sold completely furnished.
It's hard to know where to begin with this one. First off, it has as many couches as I've owned in my entire life. There's a piano casually sitting on the elevated floor in the corner. The kitchen boasts a bar. Plus there's enough natural lighting to shoot a whole HBO miniseries in this room alone.
I could have my entire friend-group sit around that granite bar and be content. Also note the unique architecture, which runs rampant in this home as well. Many people went out of their way to make sure this home had style and character.
If a granite bar-top doesn't suit your function, there's this cozy corner for when those late night cocktail gatherings get intimate. A circle of seven plush chairs overlook the pier and shoreline. If nothing else, it reminds you that if you have enough money to afford this home, you should probably get a boat as well!
Here's one of the eight bedrooms housed in this palace. Many are so big and spacious, I couldn't tell which one was the definitive "master bedroom." I'd personally settle for any one. After all, you have more beds than you have days of the week!
If you can afford a $12 million home, you also probably have 12 million things in your day-to-day life that stress you out. That's why there's a jacuzzi bathtub, evidently. The granite walls are nice as well, although I can't help but feel like a lighter hue would make this room a touch more aesthetically appealing.
You'd have enough space in this home that you could host a Comic-Con, so I suppose it kinda/sorta makes sense that there exists a catering kitchen inside of it. For me, I could fill that room with at least a dozen air fryers and microwaves!
Or hire a chef and start meal-planning!
As if all of this doesn't seem too good to be true, there's an enormous movie theater inside this house as well! I'm a movie buff and having this in my house would be a dream come true. The parties would start themselves!
The movie theater even has its own lobby! Keep in mind, this place comes fully furnished, so that popcorn machine is yours as well!
You won't have to worry about expensive bar tabs or the threat of a DUI in this place. This property comes with a fully functional Irish Pub inside of it! Somebody (maybe Kevin O'Sullivan?) went all-out in making this thing look Main Street ready. The front looks like a prototypical downtown gin-mill where Irish car bombs and Bailey's awaits.
Where to begin? As if this house wasn't a work of art in itself, the craftsmanship inside "Kevin O'Sullivan's Irish Pub" is exquisite. The bar itself is fully stocked with every libation you could imagine. The owner evidently splurged on making this look like a real-life restaurant. Those lecterns servers use can't be cheap either!
While not located inside the pub, the home also comes with a state-of-the-art pool-table. It's mind-blowing to think that every room in this home is essentially its own separate vacation, or night-out!
Finally, there's a concert hall inside this house. With the kind of money you probably have if you buy this place, there's a good chance you could book your favorite musical act to perform for an evening. Or go as far as to get ahold of Elton John like Julianne Moore's villain in Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Keep in mind, this is about half the property. You can see over 50 photos of it on its Zillow listing!
Just remember... $11.9 million means a monthly mortgage of about $64,746!
