Simone Biles' brother, Tevin Biles-Thomas, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder following a fatal shooting that took place at an Airbnb in Cleveland, Ohio, last year.

According to a press release, the 24-year old was taken into custody on Thursday night (August 29) in connection to an incident that occurred at a New Year's Eve party. Police say he was involved in a fight that broke out around 11:30 pm after party-goers asked an "uninvited" group of men to leave the premises, which led to gunfire and the murder of three men aged 18 to 23. Another man and a woman also were shot, but thankfully, they survived.

In addition to murder, Tevin was also charged with voluntary manslaughter, felonious assault and perjury.

“The relentless persistence of Cleveland police homicide detectives helped secure an indictment in this case,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley said in a statement via Cleveland.com. “It is through their hard work that we can begin to seek justice for these victims.”

The Olympic gold medalist has yet to address the arrest, but she did post a cryptic message on social media. "eating my feelings don’t talk to me," she wrote on Twitter.

Tevin is currently in jail as he waits for a September 13 arraignment in Cleveland, where the killings took place. As of right now, he's the only person to be charged in connection with the fatal shooting.
