A private memorial service for Prince is being planned by the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Minnetonka, Minn.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Minnetonka Police Chief Jeff Sebenaler
confirmed that an invitation-only memorial service is scheduled for 5PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Sunday (May 15). Chief Sebenaler plans to have extra officers on hand to maintain traffic flow and safety. The police department is expecting 300-500 guests with 30-50 of the mourners considered "high profile."

Prince was a devout Jehovah's Witnesses and began worshipping at the Kingdom Hall church. According to reports, friend and bassist Larry Graham, a Jehovah's Witness, himself, have introduced the late musician to the religion.

Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, went on her Facebook page on Friday (May 13) to inform fans that neither she or her brother's remains will be at the service on Sunday.

"Please Don't misunderstand...The grief process is a unique experience to each individual and Therefore I support any and all Memorials or Funerals that have happened and/or are being planned...However I will Not be in attendance, because I feel that once…is enough," she wrote.

Nelson also reiterated a statement her issued earlier this month that no official memorial service or tribute event has been sanctioned by Prince’s family. However, Nelson said that updates are coming real soon.

Last Wednesday (May 12), A-list celebrities gathered to remember Prince at a private memorial put together by Prince’s ex-wives, Manuela Testolini and Mayte Garcia in Los Angeles.

A source told E! News that Testolini and Garcia “wanted to have a somber memorial since they weren’t allowed at the other one” and that the top-secret event was attended by only those closest to the “Purple Rain” singer.
