What a terrific celebration!  We made a point of including the 30th annual Germanfest at Guttenberg in our weekend plans, and it did not disappoint.  The pretty Mississippi River town showed off its charms and celebrated its heritage with a street festival right on beautiful River Park Drive, September 24-25, 2021.

The Great River Road is a long-time favorite of mine.  Yesterday's short trip upstream was in itself enjoyable enough to make the day a success

The riverside location at Lock & Dam 10 made for some striking views.

Weiner dog racing certainly wasn't a "drag."

Fun wasn't limited to canines.  People enjoying themselves seemed to be found in all directions.

In addition to Guttenberg's regular retailers, a bevy of vendors offered a wide array of wares.

Prost!  A tip of the beer stein to everyone involved in creating and maintaining Guttenberg's annual Germanfest!  Herzliche Gluckwunsche!
