Mark Wahlberg to Return Iowa for Halloween
One of the most recognizable movie and reality TV stars will be in the Hawkeye State on Halloween promoting his spirit, which has been rising in popularity as of late.
Mark Wahlberg, star of Lone Survivor, Daddy's Home, and a plethora of other popular movies, will be heading to a Hy-Vee Wall to Wall Wine & Spirits store on Tuesday, October 31st from 2-3:30pm. The actor will be signing bottles of his Flecha Azul Tequila, an "ultra-premium" spirit crafted in Jalisco, Mexico.
Wahlberg will make an appearance at the standalone Hy-Vee liquor store located at 375 South Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines. Wahlberg has had a long-standing relationship with Hy-Vee, having struck a deal to bring his franchise restaurant Wahlburgers to their stores in 2017.
In March 2022, Wahlberg garnered headlines for sheltering in place at the Hy-Vee headquarters during a tornado warning.
Alongside his brothers Donnie and Chef Paul, Mark Wahlberg struck a deal to open Wahlburgers in dozens of Hy-Vee stores all across the Midwest. There is a Wahlburgers inside the Hy-Vee on Locust Street in Dubuque.
Hy-Vee has been a hotspot as of late for A-list talent. Earlier this year, David Letterman showed up and bagged groceries at one of their many stores. Just this month, Jason Momoa did a bottle signing for his new vodka. Now, Wahlberg is keeping Hy-Vee in the headlines with a tequila promotion and bottle signing for Flecha Azul Tequila:
