Guts and Glory: Worm Eating Contest at Adventureland Promises Spooky Thrills
Do you think you could stomach this spooky eating competition?
Adventureland in Altoona brought back its Phantom Fall Fest on September 23rd. It is anticipated to go all the way through prime spooky season and will wrap up on October 28th.
For more information about everything involving the event, make sure to check out our rundown of it here.
While Phantom Fall Fest will be going on throughout the entire month, there is one exciting contest that you can only check out on one evening.
Phantom's Worm Eating Contest will be a star studded and creepy event. The competition will be hosted by Andrew Fuller aka Sugar Freakshow who won the Netflix hit series 'Is It Cake?'
So, We Eat Worms...
Yes! Prove that you have the guts by throwing your hat into the ring this October! The very first person to eat six earthworms will win! Not too bar, right?
When Is It?
The contest will take place on Saturday, October 7th at 3:30 PM. Following the contest, Andrew Fuller will be doing a meet and greet near Main Street. Fans will be able to snag photos and autographs with the baker turned social media sensation until 5PM.
What Do You Win?
That's the big question, right?
I'm eating all of these worms and I better get something good out of it besides a strange story...
Well, the prize is a good one (at least in my opinion).
The winner of this creepy crawly contest will receive a prize pack worth $1,000. Just think about it...each worm you eat is worth roughly $166! It will include the following items:
- Yeti Tundra 45 Hard Cooler
- Yeti cups & accessories
- 2024 Platinum Season Passes
- One-of-a-kind worm cake from Andrew Fuller
You must be over 18 to enter into this competition. If you are interested in competing you will have to register at the park site. For more information, make sure to check out the Adventureland website.
