After nearly 25 years, the iconic Iowa slogan and logo, that has been welcoming people into the Hawkeye State is getting a bit of a facelift. Governor Kim Reynolds announced on Tuesday that the iconic 'Field of Opportunities' signs would be phased out.

This is all a part of a new marketing plan for the state government.

The slogan as well as the logo are set to be replaced amongst the executive branch departments and will be used to help attract business to the state, according to reports.

“State departments will be adopting this logo as their primary brand identity, one that unites us as one team and makes us more recognizable to Iowan’s that we serve and aspiring Iowans that we want to attract,” Reynolds said in a press conference.

Say goodbye to the 'Fields of Opportunities' and get ready to have the 'Freedom to Flourish.' This logo is meant to signify unity amongst the state government. The hope is that this new logo will expand the state's workforce as well, reports claim.

And the new logo is a bit of a change as well. It has the word Iowa written in all caps in a clean font with the sun setting in a field inside of the O.

There are 68 highway signs that border Iowa that have the 'Field of Opportunities' logo on them. Eventually those will all be replaced with this brand new design, reports claim.
