Enjoy Adults-Only Movie Night For Free On Friday The 13th In Iowa
When you think of movies in the park, you normally think of a fun family-friendly event to take your kids to. An adults-only movie in the park event in Iowa is happening this month and it makes sense why only adults are allowed to come.
Happening on the second and final Friday the 13th of the year, adults in the Quad Cities can watch a classic scary movie whose title has the same name as the date.
Scary Movie In The Park In Davenport
Davenport Parks and Recreation, Jason Voorhees, and his mama are inviting adults in the Quad Cities to join them for a popular event, Scary Movies in the Park. This will be an evening of fun, screams, and horror. To make it even more spooky, it's taking place on a very superstitious day.
For the second year, Davenport Parks and Recreation is hosting a free Scary Movie in the Park at Credit Island Park. This year, on Friday, October 13, you can enjoy the 1980 classic horror film Friday The 13th (hence the Jason Voorhees reference.
For those who plan to attend, make sure you bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic to enjoy an adults-only night out under the stars with a spooky twist. Food sales and free activities will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Friday The 13th starting at sunset (6:38 p.m.).
In 2022, Davenport Parks and Recreation hosted their first Scary Movies in the Park and showed the classic 1984 horror film, A Nightmare on Elm Street.
This is an adults-only event which means you can only attend if you're 18 or older.
In the event of rain, the event will be canceled. Cancellations will be made by 3:00 p.m., the day of the movie. Check their website and Facebook event page for updates.
