A Wisconsin Grad is Part of Planters’ First All-Female ‘Peanutters’ Crew
One day at my old job, on an otherwise unremarkable winter day, the trademark Planters NUTmobile pulled up in our lot. A couple years prior, a former radio DJ quit our company in order to take the truck cross-country. He decided to pay us a visit one afternoon.
It was quite a sight. Three drivers and Mr. Peanut, the longtime Planters mascot, mingled with us for a while, passed out stickers and bags of peanuts, and enjoyed their little central Illinois sabbatical. In conversation with my former coworker, he was telling me how liberating and unique it was not only to travel the country in a rolling peanut, but how enjoyable it was to bring smiles to kids and adults wherever he went.

Planters Now Has its First All-Female "Peanutters" Crew:
Planters' brand ambassadors, known as "Peanutters," drive the NUTMobile, which is 26-feet-long, all across the country. Typically, three Peanutters are aboard the vehicle. They take turns driving the vehicle, and interact with customers in places like grocery stores, outdoor festivals, and other events. Peanutters each handle more than 200 events in a calendar year.
The company announced this week that they've selected their first-ever all-female Peanutter crew. Comprised of "Christi-Nut, "Karishew," and "Coconut," the three women will embark on a yearlong, coast-to-coast journey, spreading smiles, brand awareness, and breaking new ground as the first-of-their-kind crew.
"Karishew" is a Wisconsin Graduate:
Altura, MN native Karissa, aka "Karishew," is part of the new crew, and she actually graduated from University of Wisconsin–La Crosse with a degree in Communications and a minor in Digital Art and Design. FOX 13 recently published her bio:
What’s crackin?! My name is Karissa, and I’m from Altura, Minnesota. I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse with a degree in Communications and a minor in Digital Art and Design. When I’m not drawing, painting, or picking up a new craft project, you can usually find me out on a hike enjoying the outdoors. My favorite part about being a Peanutter is having the opportunity to brighten people’s days while embarking on a nutty adventure across the country! - per FOX 13's website
Also, for the record, Karissa's favorite Planters snack is lightly salted cashews. It pairs well with her new nickname.

Planters states that last year's class of Peanutters traveled to 46 states and met more than 160,000 people on their journey. You can find out more about the company's first ever all-female crew on FOX 13's website.
