Hi. My name is Chris Farber. I'm the host off the all new "Saturday Night Mix-Tape" on Q107.5!

If you're from Dubuque, it's possible you've heard my name before. I started with what was KLYV-105 back in the fall of 1995.

I did weekend fill in work before moving to overnights, afternoons, and eventually mornings. Eventually the station was changed to Y105. I started hosting the morning show in January of 2002 and stayed there for 20 years.

Last fall I decided it was time for a change, and at the age of 46 I knew if I didn't change my career soon I probably never would. I found out about a great opportunity at Lifeline Audio Video Technologies in Platteville, Wisconsin, and they welcomed me with open arms. I love my new gig, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I missed getting on the air and talking to my listeners.

A few months ago my boss from the radio station, Jeff, called me to ask about stopping by for a chat. I stopped in his office and he asked me if I'd ever consider hosting a weekly program. I said I always thought it would be fun to host a weekly show that featured the 80s and 90s... the music I grew up on and ultimately started my radio career with.

So here we are... and tonight is the debut of our new show on our classic hits station, Q107.5!

My plan is simple, play great music from the 80s and 90s. Hopefully you'll join me for the ride each week, as I'll always welcome your requests on our request line, at 563-585-1075. You'll also be able to hit me through the website or by downloading the station app. In fact, I hope you download the app, because you'll have chances to win both on air and on the app!

Aside from the music, I'll feature some great contests and prizes... plus we'll have some great celebrity guests. Musicians and actors that exploded in the 80s and 90s, that will check in to give us an update on what they are up to. Tonight, 80s superstar Taylor Dayne will drop in via the special Q-line, and we'll find out about her time on The Masked Singer, as well as what Taylor Dayne 'the mom' is like.

Our show will be brought to you every week by Pizza Ranch, at 2020 Radford Road. Tony told me he'd love to fill our listeners up with pizza and chicken, so listen to win free buffets every Saturday night.

Finally, I hope you join me. The 80s and 90s were a great time in my life, and I hope you'll love sharing some of your tri-state memories, too. Like I said, hit me up anytime on the app or phone line... and if it's something you'd like to share with me personally, drop me an email anytime at chris.farber@townsquaremedia.com. Maybe there's a topic or artist you'd like me to highlight... let me know!

I appreciate you catching up with me. Talk to you Saturday night!

Chris Farber - Host of the "Saturday Night Mix-Tape."
