New ‘Game of Thrones’ S7 Set Video Finally Brings Ice and Fire Together
As if the wait for Game of Thrones Season 7 weren’t long enough, recent weeks have seen all manner of perfect pairings coming together via set photos and rumors. It now seems the mother of all meetings is finally upon us as well, with super-spoilery set videos finally singing our Song of Ice and Fire.
You’re warned of every possible Game of Thrones Season 7 spoiler imaginable from here on out (seriously, get out now to avoid them), but perhaps the most anticipated meeting of the entire saga is going down in Season 7. Where previously we’d seen some of Jon Snow’s people meeting some of Daenerys’, new set video confirms that the King in the North and the Queen of Dragons will finally share scenes this year (via Watchers on the Wall):
The full write-up has plenty of additional photos to marvel over, including the combined entourages of Jon Snow and Daenerys (minus the Queen herself) sporting some new threads on what’s believed to be Dragonstone. Even the Unsullied and Dothraki are starting to feel the cold, now that winter has finally come.
Elsewhere of Game of Thrones Season 7, a list of directors for the year has been announced, along with rumors of some major set pieces and battles, while at least a portion of filming will take place in Iceland. Harry Potter star Jim Broadbent has been confirmed for a “significant” role, but sadly without Angela Lansbury, while several notable returns have likely been revealed.
