Everything You Need to Know About Iowa State Volleyball Tournament

Congratulations to the Dubuque Hempstead and Western Dubuque Girls Volleyball teams...both headed to the State Volleyball Tournament next week.  The Mustangs take on top ranked Dowling Catholic on Monday November 2nd at 10am.  The Bobcats face Sergeant Bluff-Luton Monday afternoon at 5:30pm

The Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) State Volleyball Tournament is back in Cedar Rapids for the 30th consecutive year. The tournament takes place November 2-5, at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse (Formerly the US Cellular Center) with several notable changes in compliance with venue COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Special Venue Notes Tickets will be sold by session. Online pre-purchase is strongly encouraged prior to arriving at the venue to avoid long lines. Spectators are asked to arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the posted start time of the match they plan to attend. Spectators should follow the traffic pattern and queue system established by Alliant Energy PowerHouse when entering and departing the arena. Spectators will be directed to their assigned seating section upon arrival to the arena.

Tickets: Tickets can be purchased through http://ticketmaster.com/ or charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 for $12 inclusive of all online fees. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, October 27 at 10 a.m. Admission will be charged for those kindergarten age and older. Tickets purchased in-person at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse box office are $10.

Spectators may bring clear bags smaller than 12x12x6 into the Alliant Energy PowerHouse. Non-clear bags will not be permitted. Spectator face coverings are required when transitioning throughout Alliant Energy PowerHouse. Face coverings may be removed once seated in non-student sections. Students sitting in designated student sections are required to wear face coverings at all times, even when seated, as they will NOT be subject to the same social distancing requirements as other spectators. Spectators in non-student sections will be directed to social distance at least 6’ in between different families and groups. To maintain safe and socially distanced public spaces, fans will NOT be allowed to greet their teams in the Main Lobby/Ticket Window area or in the SW corner of the Alliant Energy PowerHouse following matches as they have done previously. Team/fan gatherings must occur offsite.
