Dubuque Adds Special COVID-19 Phone Line For Vaccinations For Those Over 65
The Dubuque County Public Health Incident Management Team has added a new phone number for county residents age 65 and over who wish to be vaccinated for COVID-19 but do not have a primary care doctor or healthcare.
Dubuque County residents 65 years and older who do not have a doctor or primary care provider can now call the Dubuque County COVID-19 Sleeves Up phone line at 563-587-4950 for assistance on how to receive a vaccine. Callers will be asked to leave their information on a recording and will be contacted directly when a vaccination appointment is available.
Please note this phone number and service is for Dubuque County residents age 65 and over who do not have a primary doctor or healthcare provider. Local healthcare providers are continuing to contact their patients age 65 and over to schedule vaccination appointments as vaccine allocations allow.
Nearly 18,000 county residents are age 65 and over and nearly 50 percent of the vaccines administered to date have been to people in this age group. Weekly allocations of vaccine to the state and county are increasing. However, demand continues to exceed supply so it will take time to vaccinate all residents in this age group who want to be vaccinated.
