Cait from State Farm: Watch Iowa’s Caitlin Clark in New State Farm Commercial

Iowa's prodigious basketball star, Caitlin Clark, is now the star of a new State Farm ad that will likely be played frequently during the Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball season.

As part of her recent name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal with State Farm, Clark appeared alongside two well-known stars of the NBA world for a humorous new State Farm ad. The 30 second ad begins with a couple realizing they've been in an accident. When the woman says the word "shoot," Caitlin Clark appears with a basketball ready to take a shot.

Upon spawning out of thin air, Clark is as confused about the lack of a hoop as the couple is about her sudden appearance. The second time the woman says "shoot," Miami Heat All-Star Jimmy Butler appears ready to make a shot too. When Clark informs Butler there is no hoop, they decide to recite that famous State Farm jingle: "like a good neighbor, State Farm is there."

Cue Jake from State Farm (played by Kevin Miles of Criminal Minds fame) appearing to help with the situation and explain that with State Farm, your vehicle can be covered, even "that old Pacer." That line makes former Indiana Pacers shooting guard Reggie Miller appear for a humorous kicker to conclude the commercial.

The commercial is effective at featuring a trifecta of supremely talented ballers while also being punchy and witty. It also comes at a time when the Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball team continues their reign of terror from last season. At present, the Hawkeye women are 4-1 on the season and rank 5th in the AP Top 25. They are set to tip off against Fort Wayne on Friday, November 24th in Indiana.
