Watch the Final Trailer for Michael Bay’s Netflix Movie ‘6 Underground’
Get pumped for Michael Bay’s newest thriller 6 Underground, which released its final trailer in anticipation of its debut on Netflix this Friday. The action flick stars Ryan Reynolds as the leader of a rag-tag group of modern day vigilantes who fake their own deaths in order to fight injustices undercover. Watch it here:
The new trailer introduces us to the rest of the team, introduced as if they were members of The Breakfast Club. There’s Reynolds as “The Mastermind,” joined by “The Doctor,” “The Operator,” “The Hitman,” “The Spy,” and “The Skywalker” (no affiliation to Luke). The screenplay is written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who are also responsible for Marvel’s Deadpool, which Reynolds starred in. Even from the trailer, we can tell that 6 Underground is going to be full of sardonic quips and mile-a-minute punchlines. And a whole lot of explosions.
There are pros and cons to an action movie like 6 Underground premiering exclusively on Netflix. The appeal is that in order to watch it, you don’t have to leave the comfort of your home (or your pajamas). But the downside is that adventure thrillers typically fare well in a movie theater setting, with a larger-than-life screen and surround sound system. It doesn’t matter how big your flat screen you bought on Black Friday is — it will never compete with a theater’s immersive experience. But hey, at least this way you won’t get overcharged for popcorn.
6 Underground arrives on Netflix Friday, December 13.
