Have you seen or run into a deer this fall? There are a ton of deer in our area, including in Illinois and they are popping up all over the place.

One deer in Moline was recently spotted but in a place where it needed help. Luckily, the awesome firefighters in Moline sprung into action and saved it in a residential area.

Harvest Season Means Seeing More Deer

With farmers in the middle of harvesting, you might see a lot more deer. Yes, John Deere combines, but all the cute animals run out onto the roads in front of cars.

Deer have a tendency to move around more during harvesting season to find crops that haven't been picked or late-season crops to eat. As they migrate and move from place to place, deer will be spotted on roads, in yards, and just wandering around.

Speaking of John Deere, its headquarters hometown of Moline, and an actual deer, all of those ironic things together make a viral video thanks to the awesome Moline Fire Department.

Moline Fire Department Rescues Stuck Deer

Now we can't say exactly if this deer was migrating from a field being picked by a John Deere combine or what exactly happened, but we know how it ended.

On Friday, Oct. 13th, a video posted on TikTok from the Moline Police Department shows Moline firefighters saving a deer caught in a fence.

The deer was stuck in a fence in the 3600 block of 38th Street in Moline. After being freed, the deer gleefully and gratefully galloped away into the woods, as the Moline Police Department said on social media.

Great work, Moline Fire Department. Thanks for a great video to start the weekend.
