The past few months have seen a surge in burglaries all throughout the Cedar Valley.

In early May, a brand-new Waterloo coffee shop, the Savvy Bean Espresso & Açai bar was broken into not once, but twice. The initial incident caused "hundreds of dollars in loss."

Luckily, the second incident led to the arrest of a suspect. Read more about this here.

Now, a Cedar Falls case might just be closing very soon.

Late last month, Outdoor & More was hit by a burglar.

Outdoor & More is a family business that specializes in small engine sales and repairs. The team behind this store describe themselves as, "a family owned business that focuses on sales and repairs of mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, snowblowers, commercial mowers, and more!"

The owners of this business, which is located at 2607 Center Street were shocked by what had happened.

The incident took place on Tuesday, May 23rd at approximately 5:00 AM. According to a local report, the thief stole upwards of $30,000 worth of equipment from Outdoor & More. Some of these items that were taken include a lawn mower, chainsaws, and trimmers.

Surveillance footage/photos were recovered from a nearby home and Casey's, according to reports.

A Denver man was arrested last week in connection to the theft. His name is Aaron Thurm and he has been charged with 1st degree theft, 3rd degree burglary, and possession of burglar tools.
