Exciting hockey is the only kind we know at our house. An edge of the seat thrill ride on back-to-back evenings, and a chance to close the gap on first place to just 6 points and a few games back on the leaders. The weekend was a resounding success for the Dubuque Fighting Saints!

The Saints once again started the evening strong in the first with a 2-goal display but were caught off guard in the second to give up the lead. On the evening Des Moines outshot the Saints 42 to 31 in a rapid attacking affair. The buccaneers managed to capitalize on 2 of 5 powerplay attempts, compared to the saints 1 for 3. This time the game winning shot was thanks too Forward Max Burkholder, whose final goal also gave him a hat-trick on the evening (that's 3-goals to his name on the night).
