If you're a Tri-State train enthusiast or just looking for a good family outing, mark your calendars for Saturday, July 19th, 2025. That’s when the 33rd Annual Rail Fair steams into Copeland Park in La Crosse, Wisconsin, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Hosted by The 4000 Foundation, Limited, this popular summer event has grown into one of the Midwest’s premier railroad gatherings since it began in 1991.

So, why is the La Crosse Rail Fair a must-attend? For starters, it brings together vendors from six different states, showcasing over 250 tables packed with railroad treasures. Whether you're into model trains, antique locomotives, railroad books, or rare memorabilia, there’s something here for collectors of all levels. It’s the perfect place to buy, sell, and trade, or just soak up the nostalgia.

The event isn’t just about shopping—railroad history comes to life with tours of the La Crosse Short Line Railroad Heritage Museum, located right on-site. Visitors can even blow the whistle on a real steam locomotive (for a small donation), adding a truly hands-on experience. Plus, various railroad exhibits and displays offer a deeper look into the area's rich rail heritage.

Bring the whole family—kids under 12 get in free with an adult, and there’ll be concessions from Frontier-Badget #45 Masonic Lodge to keep everyone fueled for fun. Admission is just $8.00.
