If you've recently made a grocery shopping trip to Hy-Vee, it is advised that you check your freezer to see if you picked up one or more of the items the company has voluntarily recalled.

The West Des Moines-based grocer is recalling two varieties of its Hy-Vee Mealtime Beef Pot Roast Dinner due to the presence of an undeclared wheat allergen. At this time, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products, according to a press release on their website.

The recalled Hy-Vee Mealtime items are listed below, with their respective prices, weight, and UPC codes.

  • ($5) Beef Pot Roast Dinner with Mashed Potatoes & Corn - 11.6 oz (327 g) (UPC: 0075450243772)
  • ($10) Beef Pot Roast Dinner with Mashed Potatoes & Carrots - 25.5 oz (723 g) (UPC: 0075450485394)

These entrees were distributed to Hy-Vee grocery stores, Fast and Fresh stores, and Dollar Fresh Markets across Hy-Vee's eight-state region: Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

The meals themselves come in either a small or medium plastic container with a clear lid. They were available for purchase between December 27, 2022, and January 17, 2023.
