Downtown Cedar Rapids Restaurant Opens New Bar & Lounge Areas

A Downtown Cedar Rapids restaurant is now welcoming customers to their newest additions! Midtown Reserve at 319 7th St SE has officially opened their new Bar Room and Lounge Room.

Midtown Reserve is a fine-dining steakhouse that is only open for reservations, but the restaurant is now allowing walk-ins for their new bar and lounge rooms. According to their Facebook page:

"The Bar Room is a great space to enjoy fun cocktails and delicious upscale Bar Fare Menu! You will still be able to enjoy our regular dinner menu as well in this space! Come relax in our upbeat atmosphere!

The Lounge Room will provide an intimate and cozy space to enjoy drinks and appetizers only! A perfect room to enjoy a beverage before or after your meal! Perfect for date night"

Some of the items available on the Bar Fare Menu include Loaded Truffle Fries, the All American Wagyu Burger, the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich, the Lobster Roll, Crab-Stuffed Deviled Eggs, Cajun Shrimp, and something called the "Millionaire Potato." It's a baked potato topped with lobster, crab, shrimp, lobster bisque, and Cajun sour cream. YUM!

A recent review from Becca Hall on the Cedar Rapids Area Foodies Facebook Group says that "the food was amazing and the servers were friendly and extremely welcoming. Millionaire potato was the star of the show." For drinks, she recommends the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini, the Elderflower Lavender Martini, and the Dirty Martini.
