New Study Names The Healthiest Counties In The State Of Illinois

Maybe a "healthy lifestyle" is something that's top-of-mind for you, and you spend a good amount of time making sure that you're eating right, getting enough sleep, being moderate in your consumption of alcohol, etc.

In other words, you're someone who treats your body like a temple.

Conversely, maybe you never give all that healthy lifestyle stuff more than a passing thought, usually when you're hungover. You eat whatever you want, as much as you want, anytime you want. When it comes to getting proper sleep, you'll sleep when you're dead, right?

In other words, you treat your body like a tent.

According to a new study, 19 counties in Illinois are full of temples, and the other 83 are full of tents.

US News.Com Looked At  A Whole Bunch Of Different Metrics To Come Up With The Numbers For Their "2024 Healthiest Communities Rankings"

Specifically, there were 92 different metrics used overall in the rankings of the healthiest communities in the country, but these 10 are the ones they used to come up with their scale of 1-100:

• Population health
• Equity
• Education
• Economy
• Housing
• Food and Nutrition
• Environment
• Public Safety
• Community vitality
• Infrastructure

Overall, US News gives Falls Church City, Virginia the nod for being the healthiest community in the nation, and these spots round out the top five:

• Los Alamos County, New Mexico
• Douglas County, Colorado
• Sioux County, Iowa
• Hamilton County, Indiana
