Earlier this month, fans were weary about the possible delay pertaining to the opening of Prince’s Paisley Park Museum. After having to deal with a zoning request, the initial opening slated for October 6 was pushed back. Fortunately, avid fans will be able to check out the museum sooner than later. According to The Star Tribune, fans will be elated to know that Friday will be the opening day.

On Tuesday night, the council agreed to sign off on a rezoning Paisley Park into a permanent museum.

“I think the city was very thoughtful in what they did,” said Joel Weinshanker, the managing partner of Graceland Holdings, which is managing Paisley Park. "Prince's museum is going to outlive us all."

Some at the Council meeting were not as convinced, citing the 600,000 visitors a year that the museum is expected to attract. “It’s such a rush job, piecing it all together,” Sheila Clayton told The Star Tribune. “It’s not even Prince’s style.”

Initially, the vote for the rezoning request was set to happen on or before December 20. Fortunately, both sides were able to reach an agreement to satisfy Prince's die-hard fans.

Beginning this week, the museum will be open Thursday through Sunday. For fans interested in attending, they can purchase the tickets right here. For those also hoping to receive more Prince material, you can expect his greatest hits LP 4 Ever to drop next month, while his Purple Rain Deluxe Edition will come out next year.
