Last in Line have released two songs from their upcoming debut album, Heavy Crown, as a tribute to their bassist Jimmy Bain, who died over the weekend. You can listen to "Blame it on Me" above (courtesy of Loudwire) and "Starmaker" below.

Last in Line mark the reunion of '80s Dio veterans Bain, Vivian Campbell and Vinny Appice, alongside singer Andrew Freeman. Heavy Crown is set for release on Feb. 20. The band was aboard Def Leppard's Hysteria on the High Seas cruise when Bain died of unspecified causes on Saturday.

Campbell, who has been in Def Leppard since 1992, called his former bandmate "a very kind and gentle and generous soul" and credited him for his "first big break in the music industry" in a Facebook post confirming Bain's death yesterday. Many of Bain's peers also paid their respects on social media.

Bain played bass on Rainbow's acclaimed 1976 album Rising, and enjoyed two long stints (1983-87 and 2000-10) in Ronnie James Dio's eponymous band. Three years after the singer's death, the above-mentioned members of his most famous lineup – and keyboardist Claude Schnell, who has since departed the group – reunited, partially in an effort to reassert their role in the creation of acclaimed Dio albums such as Holy Diver and Last in Line. “No one deserves to be onstage playing those songs from a guitar player point of view more than me," Campbell explained in a 2012 interview. "I wrote those riffs. I’m going to take them back.”

Last in Line unveiled their debut single, "The Devil in Me," back in November. There's no word on the band's future plans in the wake of Bain's death.
