Beyonce has pledged to do whatever she can to help residents of her native Texas as Hurricane Harvey continues to tear through the Lone Star state.

In a statement offered to The Chronicle, Bey says she's working with her charity and additional organizations to implement a plan to properly offer aid to those in need. Harvey has so far killed four people, rendered 3,000 stranded and in need of rescue and left many thousands homeless while "catastrophic and life-threatening" levels of rain shows no signs of stopping, according to CNN

"My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help," Bey said.

"I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor (Rudy Rasmus at St. John's in downtown Houston) to implement a plan to help as many as we can."

Bey also uploaded an image of Texas' flag to Instagram with the caption "Texas you are in my prayers."

Three days after Harvey made landfall in Texas, the storm is still bearing down on the state. CNN reports it could still dump more than foot of rain on the area before the storm settles. Close to a half-million people will need to seek disaster insurance once the dust settles, while 30,000 will have had to seek emergency shelter.
